“I think he won’t have people upset if he accepts” – Director set to accept Chelsea’s offer

The Portuguese press has been heavily covering the story ever since the English media announced this week that Chelsea had Benfica director Rui Pedro Braz on their list of potential hires.

The last time this topic was debated on CMTV, journalist Mauro Xavier opined that it makes no sense for the Eagles to retain a worker who wants to work for another team.

“In my opinion, there are no indispensable individuals in any profession. players or coaches. So I’m always good at that principle if someone has a superior suggestion that’s good for their career,” said Xavier (via Record).

“I feel that not making people angry… Guardiola reportedly claims that the only players he doesn’t want to keep are the ones that are upset. The same holds true for players, coaches, and officials. Therefore, from that perspective, unhappy individuals in an organisation are never productive. From my perspective, I believe he won’t decline if the opportunity presents itself.

However, the records about this case contain some different information.

First, they asserted Thursday night that Chelsea would truly have to choose another alternative from their list because Braz’s transfer to Stamford Bridge is currently “out of hypothesis.”
The director is ‘100% focused’ on his work at Benfica, according to their website, and doesn’t want to quit the team before winning any significant titles there.

On Friday morning, Record also published a brief article about this topic in their newspaper; the details were almost the same. With a “limited partnership” with president Rui Costa, it is reported that Braz plays a significant role in Benfica’s signings and is still intent on succeeding there.
