In advance of Chelsea vs. Arsenal, Mikel Arteta calls Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang “extremely dangerous.”
In February of this year, Aubameyang joined Barcelona after departing from Arsenal. He was excellent for the Catalans when he was there, but Xavi’s team chose to sell when Chelsea came calling.
The Gabon striker made a summertime comeback to England, and he will now take on Arsenal for the first time since leaving.
Naturally, when Arteta was questioned about Aubamayang yesterday, the Arsenal manager acknowledged that the midfielder is extremely dangerous and will score if given the chance.
According to Arsenal.com, the Arsenal manager stated: “(Aubameyang is) very dangerous.
“If Auba has anything, it’s the capacity to score goals, and he’ll keep doing that until the day he decides he’s had enough of football,” the author said.
Arteta responded to the question of how Arsenal can stop Aubameyang by saying, “We will have to look first and foremost at what Chelsea do and try to put together a plan to avoid that.”
Even if Aubameyang’s final season at Arsenal was terrible, everyone is aware of his ability to score goals.
The now-33-year-old striker has just three goals across all competitions this year, but Sunday’s match against Arsenal will be a special one for him, and he would love nothing more than to score against Arteta’s team.
But Arsenal shouldn’t worry too much. Since the beginning of the season, they have been absolutely amazing, and if they play at their peak level, they should be able to defeat this Chelsea team.
On Sunday, it will be intriguing to see how things turn out, but if Aubameyang succeeds in scoring, it will be devastating for Arsenal supporters.
