“He’s still in surgery” Chelsea plan to start Marc Cucurella against Everton tomorrow
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Cucurella is eligible to play in tomorrow’s 5.30 game against Everton since it was completed on time, according to Nizar Kinsella of the Evening Standard.
After making 38 appearances for the Seagulls in his debut season, the Spaniard was chosen as Player of the Season by both his teammates and Brighton fans.
Only three players made more tackles for Brighton in the 2021–2022 season than Cucurella, and his great energy will be able to enhance Chelsea’s team as they try to compete for the Premier League and Champions League this year.
The 24-year-old joins Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly at Stamford Bridge in a trade that cost more than £52 million, breaking a previous record for Brighton.
We would generally think it would be quite challenging for a manager to start a player in a game 24 hours after signing them, but in this situation, considering Tuchel’s mention of the deadline, it seems entirely possible.
Tuchel’s other remarks make it very obvious that Ben Chilwell’s recovery from surgery is a concern. Chelsea fans wouldn’t be surprised if Cucurella played later, even if Marcos Alonso may start.
Chelsea’s player Marc Cucurella.
The player is eligible to make his start on Sunday since the £62 million contract was approved and he registered before midday.
Chelsea are hopeful Cucurella has been registered in time to be involved against Everton tomorrow. Will train with his team-mates for the first time this afternoon.
