Sylvinho informed NewSport that after a few days with the national team, Broja was evaluated, and a collective decision was made with Chelsea that he would not be participating in the upcoming games.
It appeared that Broja was on the path to full recovery following an injury that prematurely ended his season in December the previous year. He recently started his first game in over eight months, impressing against Fulham in the Premier League and opening his account for the current campaign. This performance set the stage for a potential battle for the coveted number nine spot at Stamford Bridge.
Unfortunately, it seems injuries have plagued Broja once again as the international break disrupts the flow of Premier League action. Sylvinho noted that Broja’s unavailability stems from an issue identified during the national team’s camp, causing disappointment for both the player and the team. Broja will be eagerly hoping that this setback isn’t severe, considering the substantial amount of football he missed towards the end of the previous season and the beginning of the current one.
