“He’s naturally upset” – Graham Potter admits Chelsea player isn’t happy right now
Reece James, according to Graham Potter, is dissatisfied with his current circumstances at Chelsea, according to his post-game interview.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! He was in trouble after sustaining a knee injury against AC Milan, but more recent information indicates that he could be out for up to eight weeks.
He will likely miss the World Cup due to the setback. The anguish will be felt by England supporters next month, even though Chelsea fans will be experiencing it right now.
The 22-year-old was playing some of the greatest football of his career at the moment, so it couldn’t have come at a worse time.
Potter asserted that James was disturbed following the nightmare scenario.
James angry over the injury
He said: “As far as his participation in the World Cup is concerned, I don’t know; it depends on how he recovers. He’ll give it his all, I’m pretty sure, but he’s been wearing a brace for at least four weeks, so that raises some questions. The boys had a few days off, and it was crucial for the international players to take advantage of any available downtime.
“He’s obviously angry because he’s injured and misses games for us at a time when his performance throughout the two games against Milan was great. He’d gotten himself into a really good spot of form, so he was disappointed to be hurt, but he’ll fight, he’ll do all in his power to recover as quickly as he can, and when he does, he’ll be a great player.
This past weekend, the Blues battled to a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa because they lacked his skills both in defense and offense.
The team may thank Kepa Arrizabalaga for the three points, as his flashes of brilliance repeatedly prevented the hosts from getting back into the game.
The Blues will need to quickly replace the Englishman with a suitable substitute. Raheem Sterling’s experiment in that position versus Villa obviously didn’t have the desired outcome.
