According to Mundo Deportivo, Mauricio Pochettino has personally recommended Paulo Dybala to Chelsea’s recruitment team as a potential signing. Pochettino is said to have made a strong push for the 29-year-old forward, who scored 18 goals in all competitions last season for Roma.
Thiago Silva, who plays for Chelsea, has also revealed that he has spoken to Dybala about the club and expressed his desire to have the Argentina international join him at Stamford Bridge. Silva considers Dybala to be a top player.
Mundo Deportivo also reports that Paris Saint-Germain is interested in Dybala, who has an affordable release clause of €12m (£10m) in his contract.
Pochettino’s admiration for Dybala is well-known, as he has previously described him as one of the best in the world and a special talent. Given Pochettino’s appreciation for the player, it is plausible that Chelsea could pursue the signing of Dybala, especially considering his low release clause.
Fans will be eager to see if Chelsea makes a move for Dybala and if the Argentine forward ends up at Stamford Bridge next season.
