‘He Needs to Leave in January’: Glen Hoddle Says Nkunku Outshines Jackson in Finishing Ability
Hoddle Highlights Nkunku’s Scoring Potential
Former England coach Glen Hoddle has expressed that Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku is more efficient in front of goal than Nicolas Jackson. Hoddle believes Nkunku could seek a move away from Chelsea in January if he doesn’t see increased game time.
“When I see Chelsea’s attacking lineup, I think Nkunku would have shown more finishing ability than Nicolas Jackson if he had played as much and had similar chances this season,” Hoddle explained.
Jackson’s Growth and Current Support
Hoddle acknowledged Jackson’s improvement, noting, “Jackson is clearly developing, gaining confidence, and has the manager’s backing for now.”
Future Uncertainty for Nkunku
Reflecting on Nkunku’s situation, Hoddle added, “Nkunku might question his future here… If this situation continues, he may feel a move is necessary by January.”
As the season unfolds, the competition for game time between Nkunku and Jackson is one to watch closely.
