David Seaman Praises Maresca’s Impact on Nicolas Jackson
David Seaman has shared his thoughts on how Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is maximizing the potential of Nicolas Jackson in the early stages of the season.
Maresca’s appointment as Chelsea manager last summer raised a few eyebrows. However, the 44-year-old has made a solid start to his time at Stamford Bridge. Even with the 2-1 loss to Liverpool in the league last weekend, Maresca’s vision and style are becoming more evident on the pitch, with several players thriving under his management.
Jackson Silences Critics
One standout player so far has been Nicolas Jackson. The 23-year-old striker has impressed many, including former England and Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman, who recently spoke about Jackson’s form.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Seaman said, “Maresca is really getting the best out of Jackson. A lot of people were doubting him at the start of the season, weren’t they?”
Two Top Strikers at Chelsea
For years, Chelsea has struggled to find a consistent striker, but now the club seems to have two top-quality options up front. Nicolas Jackson, who was signed for £32m, has taken on the role of the main striker and is starting to show real consistency in his second season at the club.
In his eight Premier League appearances this season, Jackson has scored five goals and provided three assists. After Chelsea’s recent loss to Liverpool, Leon Osman, speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, said that Jackson is evolving into a “quality” striker.
Alongside Jackson, Christopher Nkunku also offers an impressive attacking option. The French forward has already netted seven goals in 12 matches across all competitions, with six of those goals coming in cup games.
With both Jackson and Nkunku firing on all cylinders, Chelsea’s attacking line looks stronger than it has in years.
