Despite Bayern Munich’s hopes of retaining their star left-back, Davies is believed to be interested in a Premier League move. With his contract set to expire in the summer, he will be eligible to negotiate pre-contract agreements as early as next month. This could make him a highly sought-after free agent.

Signing Davies won’t be a straightforward task, as competition is expected to be fierce. However, given his immense talent, securing his services would be a massive coup for Chelsea—even if it spells trouble for Cucurella.

According to FBref, Davies ranks in the top 1% of full-backs for successful take-ons, top 2% for progressive carries, top 3% for pass completion, top 6% for attempted passes, and top 9% for shot-creating actions per 90 minutes.

Cucurella’s best metrics, while respectable, don’t measure up. He ranks in the top 5% for pass completion, top 6% for blocks, top 24% for tackles, top 29% for attempted passes, and top 33% for aerial duels won per 90 minutes.

Although Cucurella remains a skilled and valuable player, Davies is in a league of his own. His offensive and defensive contributions, coupled with his ability to influence games, make him a standout performer.
