Mauricio Pochettino, the Chelsea manager, remained cautious when asked if he would like his club to sign Kylian Mbappe or Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain. Both players have been linked with exits from PSG, with Mbappe’s contract situation still uncertain, and Neymar’s contract set to expire in two years. Pochettino, who previously worked with the duo at PSG, acknowledged the delicacy of the situation and refrained from commenting on their potential signings. Meanwhile, reports suggest that Al Hilal has made a lucrative offer of €300 million for Mbappe’s signature, possibly overshadowing other European clubs’ interest. For Chelsea, their priority seems to be signing a new midfielder, with Moises Caicedo being heavily linked with the club.
“It is a situation that is very delicate and one they need to fix in Paris with Kylian. For our side I have nothing to say. We are working on our reality, our reality is different. From my side, nothing to say, only to supporter them. “I hope they find a solution for both sides. It is a club that I love, because I was a player, a captain and coach. With Kylian we create a very good relationship, I hope they can find the best solution for both sides.”While Pochettino may have enjoyed a ‘very good relationship’ with Mbappe, Al Hilal look set to blow Chelsea – and every other European side – out of the water. According to American outlet CBS, the Saudi Arabian outfit have offered PSG €300million (£259million) for the France international’s signature.
