Glen Johnson gives a reason why Chelsea should sign Joao Felix but only if Graham Potter do this first
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Former Chelsea full-back Glen Johnson has recommended that the club sign Joao Felix on a permanent basis, but only once they have addressed their more pressing issues.
\Johnson described Felix as a “luxury player” who would be the final piece of the puzzle in a strong team, but he believes that Chelsea’s focus should be on fixing their foundation and finding the spine of their team.
Johnson added that Felix needs to play in a team that has the ball for the majority of the game to thrive, and Chelsea does not currently fit that profile.
While Johnson thinks that Chelsea should look to sign Felix, he cautioned against breaking the bank for him, as the club has bigger fires to put out at the moment.
Chelsea signed Felix on loan from Atletico Madrid in January, and there appears to be a desire from both parties to make the move permanent. Chelsea is reportedly willing to spend £70million on Felix, but his teammate Koke expects him to return to Atletico next season.
