Five Chelsea players confirm absentee in Monday’s training ahead of Dortmund

However, three players, Reece James, N’Golo Kante, and Christian Pulisic, participated in full training, with Kante and Pulisic returning from long-term injuries. James missed the weekend’s match against Leeds United due to a tight hamstring. It remains unclear whether Kante and Pulisic will start or be available as options on the bench to aid Chelsea’s mission to turn around the 1-0 first-leg defeat.

Unfortunately, Chelsea will be without key players, including Thiago Silva, who missed training due to injury, and Mason Mount, who is suspended for the second leg. Additionally, Cesar Azpilicueta, Armando Broja, and Edouard Mendy were absent from training.
Dortmund is also expected to miss some key players, with Youssoufa Moukoko still out, and first-leg heroes Karim Adeyemi and Gregor Kobel expected to miss the match. However, despite his thigh injury at the weekend, Kobel has made Dortmund’s traveling squad to London. Moukoko and Adeyemi will be unavailable for the match.
