Prior to the January transfer window, Eden Hazard was mentioned in connection with a return to Stamford Bridge. The Belgium captain has finally addressed the rumors.
Hazard denied rumors that he was considering a move back to Chelsea, and the Real Madrid star insisted that Chelsea had never phoned.
No [Chelsea has never called me],” Hazard responded. I don’t know [why this interesting news broke].
In addition, Hazard bemoaned the fact that his ailments prevented him from playing much at Real Madrid: “During ten years at Chelsea, I played 500 games without any injuries whatsoever, and then in two years, all these injuries… I am unable to explain it.
Hazard responded, “In January it is impossible since I have family and I adore the city, when questioned about his future and whether he may depart in January. But I might travel during the summer. There is still one year left on my contract, and the choice is up to the club.
“I have to accept it because it’s reasonable if the club tells me, “Eden, thanks for four years, but you have to go. However, I would like to play more and demonstrate my abilities as a player.
