Dont Waste money on him – Chelsea should loan out 22-year-old for three years
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Charlie Adam has suggested that Mauricio Pochettino may not be a fan of Mykhailo Mudryk, potentially leading to a complicated situation for the young winger. Speaking on ‘The Monday Night Club,’ Adam discussed the contract offered to Mudryk, stating that if Pochettino doesn’t rate him, the club could be forced to loan him out for multiple seasons.
Mudryk’s first season at Chelsea has been challenging since his January transfer from Arsenal. He has struggled to secure regular playing time, particularly since Frank Lampard assumed interim management. Despite an impressive performance in a match against Brighton, Mudryk has found it difficult to earn starting opportunities. Lampard has often favored bringing on Hakim Ziyech instead, even though it appears likely that Ziyech will depart the club at the end of the season.
Adam emphasized the complexity of the situation, particularly due to Mudryk’s lengthy contract. He highlighted that Pochettino’s opinion will hold significant weight, and if the new manager does not fancy the winger, it could pose difficulties. Mudryk’s long-term contract and potential lack of favoritism from Pochettino may result in the player being loaned out for several years.
Adam further explained that Chelsea will face challenges in managing their squad due to Financial Fair Play regulations and limitations on the number of players allowed on loan. Evaluating factors such as squad balance, young players’ development, and FFP considerations will be crucial for the club moving forward.
Mudryk will hope for more opportunities to arise once Chelsea officially announce the appointment of their new manager ahead of the next season.
