Gabriel Slonina, a goalkeeper for the United States junior national team, will join Chelsea from the MLS franchise Chicago Fire for a basic price of $10 million, with the potential for add-ons to bring the total to $15 million.

After the transaction is complete, Slonina will spend the remainder of the current MLS season on loan with the Fire before moving to Chelsea on January 1.

Slonina will play for Chicago until the end of the season before joining Chelsea in January.
