Aurelio de Laurentiis, the president of Napoli, has never had a smooth transfer dealing with Chelsea.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Chelsea had long admired Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, but De Laurentiis had thwarted the club’s attempts to sign the Senegalese international.
With reports circulating that Chelsea is interested in signing the 30-year-old centre-back, De Laurentiis has issued a warning to Koulibaly and Dries Mertens.
“I admire and adore Koulibaly and Mertens as footballers, but it will be up to them to decide if disgusting money is the only thing that can please them or whether being in Naples, in a philosophically different position, maybe a privilege,” he said via Corriere Della Sera.
“Apart from that, it’s an issue that no longer bothers me.”
