Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Chelsea quickly started preparing for the Champions League at Cobham before departing for Italy on Monday afternoon, following two 3-0 triumphs over Wolverhampton Wanderers and AC Milan. In order to secure their passage to the next round of European competition, Graham Potter and company face their Serie A rivals once more, but this time at the San Siro.
As usual, Chelsea’s goalkeepers were the first ones out and starting their practice while the outfield players were still in the locker rooms. Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marcus Bettinelli, and Edouard Mendy were present.
Thiago Silva, who had been rested for the victory over Wolves due to severe cold, was notable among the Chelsea stars as they emerged onto the practice fields. Wesley Fofana, a member of his defense team, was hurt last week and was unable to join the group. Due to a knee strain, the Frenchman will miss several weeks of action after being forced off against Milan at Stamford Bridge.
N’Golo Kante’s return is still going well, but he also missed Chelsea’s open training session. The midfielder is becoming more incorporated into the club, as Potter observed before Wolves, but it appears that the trip to the San Siro will be too soon.
Hakim Ziyech was the only other interesting absentee. The Moroccan winger played five minutes in place of Kai Havertz against Wolves on Saturday afternoon but did not play on Monday. Denis Zakaria was there even though he was not selected for the Premier League squad to face the Midlands side without a manager.
The following Chelsea players are currently in training: Jorginho, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Edouard Mendy, Marcus Bettinelli, Mason Mount, Marc Cucurella, Mateo Kovacic, Cesar Azpilicueta, Armando Broja, Trevoh Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell, Christian Pulisic, Kai Havertz, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Raheem Sterling, Ruben Loftus-
