Christian Pulisic acknowledges that “anything can happen” following rumors of a January surprise transfer to Manchester United involving the Chelsea winger.
After the United States World Cup campaign came to an end with a loss to the Netherlands in the round of 16, earlier this month, the 24-year-old is back in training with Chelsea.
Pulisic had trouble securing consistent playing time at Chelsea before the tournament in Qatar, making only three starts in the Premier League before the domestic season was suspended.
According to reports, Pulisic may be given a way out of Chelsea in January since Manchester United is interested in signing the winger on a temporary loan.
Although it has since been revealed that the Gunners are prioritizing a deal for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, Arsenal and Newcastle United have both been linked with a move for Pulisic.
Pulisic responded to the Indirect Podcast’s inquiry on his situation at Chelsea by saying: “I mean, right now I’m totally back at Chelsea and focused and ready to finish the season.”
But you’re familiar with how football works. Anything may happen since things change so rapidly.
Since Chelsea is where I am at the time, I am just pushing myself in my career and training there.
Christopher Nkunku, a winger for RB Leipzig, is expected to be acquired by Chelsea for £52.7 million at the end of the current campaign.
Given that Armando Borja will miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury, Graham Potter’s team may possibly be searching for a new striker in January.
