After 15 years at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea’s head of goalkeeping Christophe Lollichon has announced his departure.
Lollichon, who had been at Rennes since 2007, had previously worked with Chelsea icon Petr Cech.
Lollichon has had many positions at the club and was promoted to goalkeeping coach in 2016.
The 59-year-old was instrumental in the acquisition of Edouard Mendy, whom he has admired since first spotting him in 2018.
“After 15 years at Chelsea FC, it’s time to declare that I am leaving the Blues,” the Frenchman tweeted after the season’s last game.
“Being a part of the club’s success has been an honor, from coaching the first team goalkeepers to working with the keepers on loan and the recruitment department.”
“To the supporters and everyone at the club, thank you.”
