N’Golo Kante, Chelsea’s midfielder, is allegedly looking for a new deal.
Kante, along with teammate Mason Mount, is said to be two Blues players the club is anxious to maintain at Stamford Bridge, according to noted writer Fabrizio Romano.
Extending their contracts will be a priority once new owners are in place and sanctions are lifted, according to reports.
Kante, 31, is a unique player in the Chelsea lineup who is still regarded as one of the top midfielders in the world.
If Blues manager Thomas Tuchel wants him to continue to be a key player in the future, a new deal must be negotiated as soon as feasible.
Tuchel recently stated that coaching Kante is a delight, so securing his long-term future appears to be a no-brainer.
Some may argue that his game has begun to show signs of injury, and that he may not always be the same box-to-box midfielder who destroys opponents. However, he’s put in enough individual performances this season to demonstrate that he’s far from done.
Ruben Neves of Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier labeled Kante as a defensive “beast.”
Tuchel has varied his options in the center of the field during a demanding season, but he must be planning his starting lineup for the FA Cup final against Liverpool later this month.
There are only two Premier League games left until the Wembley Cup final.
Kante and Mateo Kovacic are probably Chelsea’s two most consistent central midfielders, as well as opponents’ most difficult targets.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek, on the other hand, has found a way to enter his name into the hat. Jorginho’s experience is also not to be discounted.
