ESPN compiled a list of the greatest players under the age of 21, and several Chelsea academy products made the cut.
Musiala, a 19-year-old Bayern Munich standout, was rated seventh, 24 places ahead of another Chelsea academy graduate, Marc Guehi.
Musiala joins Bayern Munich in the summer of 2019 after nearly a decade at Chelsea.
Tino Livramento was ranked 38th, while Callum Hudson-Odoi was placed 39th.
21-year-old Erling Haaland is first on the list, followed by Barcelona’s Pedri, Phil Foden, Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.
Musiala is now a star for Bayern Munich and Germany, and Chelsea will be left scratching their heads as to how they let this potential slip through their fingers.
