The first round of matches of the 2022–23 Premier League is already in the books, although the transfer market is still open for another three weeks. West Ham, who didn’t put up much of a fight in a 2-0 home loss to the reigning champions earlier today, is also likely to make changes to the squad. Chelsea is undoubtedly among the sides anticipated to do this.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Even though there is no shame in losing to Manchester City, the Hammers completed the previous campaign poorly (only 1 victory in 8 games across all competitions) and have not made many changes to the depth or calibre of the team. Conor Gallagher, who thrived at Crystal Palace last season, would undoubtedly be useful.
Gallagher is unfortunately no longer an option for West Ham since their proposal was turned down. The 22-year-old was reportedly informed by the Hammers that he is “not interested in leaving.” He is plainly (and happily) not wanted by Chelsea to remain in the Loan Army for the fourth year.
Gallagher was one of four players to earn their debuts on Saturday, and he came off the bench to help us finish the 1-0 victory against Everton at Goodison, our first there in six years. (Big-money acquisitions Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Marc Cucurella made their debuts as well.)
Even if it was only a cameo, it was still a proud occasion for the young player who has been a part of the team since he was eight years old. Hopefully, the very talented midfielder will have many more big games and huge chances in the future.
