Chelsea player in tears after signing transfer agreement, according to report

A rumor that Chelsea and Inter Milan have made a tentative agreement about Romelu Lukaku has been confirmed by The Athletic.

The Athletic reports that Romelu Lukaku will be on loan from Chelsea to Inter. The loan will cost €8 million (£6.8 million), plus any further sums required to enable Lukaku’s return to San Siro.
The source claims that Lukaku will undergo a physical the following week before joining the squad he helped win the Serie A title in 2020–21.

Lukaku allegedly sobbed after Chelsea and Inter Milan decided on a one-season loan deal, according to the Italian tabloid Gazzetta Dello Sport.

Lukaku played for Inter Milan before relocating to England, and he has long stated a desire to play there again.
