Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso of Chelsea have been strongly linked to a transfer to Barcelona.
Azpilicueta and Alonso, who both have one year remaining on their contracts with the team, are eager to leave Chelsea this summer and move back to Spain.
There have reportedly been discussions between Barcelona and Chelsea for some time, and according to recent rumors, Chelsea has set a price for Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso.
The two, according to Sport, have verbally agreed to agreements with Barcelona and are patiently waiting for the Blaugrana to resolve their financial issues and purchase them.
Next week, Barcelona will work to finalize their arrivals so they can join the team for their US trip.
According to the report, Chelsea has assigned a €13 million price tag to each of their heads.
However, because the club does not want the discussions for the two distinct players to be mixed, Chelsea wants the two agreements to be handled as two separate matters.
Barcelona, though, believes that Alonso’s price should be reduced in this particular circumstance.
Cesar Azpilicueta, the captain of Chelsea, is rumored to have begged the club’s new owners to let him leave even if manager Thomas Tuchel wants to keep him and the club would only want €13 million for his services.
Andreas Christensen, a former Chelsea defender, and Barcelona have already reached verbal agreement.
Christensen left the Blues as a free agent when his contract with the team expired.
