Former France player Emmanuel Petit indicated that Chelsea might sell N’Golo Kante in the upcoming summer. For both club and country, Kante has enjoyed a distinguished career, but recent injuries have been an issue.
Due to recurrent knee and muscle problems, the World Cup-winning French midfielder has only played 175 minutes of football this season.
For the Blues, this season, the ex-Leicester City star’s absence has been an obvious issue. Kante has already begun the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge, and he will be eligible to start pre-contract negotiations with foreign clubs in January.
Emmanuel Petit said that despite Kante’s years of good service to Chelsea, the Blues might opt to part company with him in the summer of 2019. He remarked to Getting Casino:
“Kante has been outstanding for a very long time. Although he has been traveling the globe constantly, I can appreciate Chelsea’s viewpoint. How can they afford to spend so much for someone who is constantly hurt? He is unable to play a proper game.
Kante may turn out to be a terrific deal on a free transfer, according to Petit, and there should be a lot of interest in the Frenchman. Added him:
I have heard that he has returned from training and will be ready shortly, but I recognize Chelsea’s concerns. If he chooses not to sign a contract, he will be a fantastic deal because he will be available for free, and some clubs will undoubtedly be interested in signing him.
