Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! As the club continues to make significant changes on and off the field, it is rumoured that talks between the two parties started during the summer but there is still no agreement. It is also rumoured that other offensive midfielder possibilities have been evaluated by the club.
However, Stanley claims that the midfielder will reach an agreement on a new contract with Stamford Bridge.
‘Mount is definitely a guy that managers can rely on, at Stamford Bridge and for England,’ he told IcFootballnews.
He is a significant part of Chelsea’s future, and we would be astonished to see him leave, especially when he is getting the playing time and quality of play he craves.
I am confident that he will sign the same type of contract that Reece James recently signed at Chelsea because “he will agree to a new contract at Chelsea” and “Boehly will not risk losing him.”
The Blues manager talked to football.london about Mount’s performance, his future, and the new role Pulisic is settling into at Stamford Bridge.
“I really liked his [Mount’s] performance today, I thought he linked the game well, and he and Christian [Pulisic] were a threat down that left side,” Potter said in response to a question regarding the 23-year-performance old’s against Wolves.
“He worked hard when we didn’t have the ball, made numerous runs in the back, and gave his life for the team. Therefore, he gave a really strong performance.
“I have absolutely no doubts about Mason Mount. Like anything else, there are occasions when the team may not work as well as the individuals do.
Any player can attest to the fact that football has its ups and downs; there will be times when things don’t go your way, but at that point, the focus should be on what you can take from those experiences. He also possesses a character and personality that are just going to get stronger. He’s therefore a pleasure to deal with.
The Chelsea manager added, “That’s the fun part. I dislike putting restrictions on players. I like to try to make sure they have fun watching football.
“I believe that when a team does well, individuals on the team benefit. And I believe that’s the task, that’s what we need to accomplish.
Because there is less time spent on the practice field with larger teams and more players, as we previously stated, it becomes more difficult. But we have to make do with what we have, and the boys have done a fantastic job thus far.
