Chelsea bosses now want to sell ‘extraordinary’ player for £40m
talkSPORT has reported that Chelsea’s management is not satisfied with Conor Gallagher’s performance and is prepared to offload him during the upcoming summer transfer window. The club’s hierarchy apparently believes that the midfielder has not made a significant impact for the Blues this season.

It is stated that Gallagher’s market value is estimated at £40 million.
Considering these circumstances, the question arises: Should Chelsea sell Conor Gallagher for £40 million?
From our perspective, if Chelsea’s management does not envision Gallagher as a long-term success at the club, it would be logical for them to part ways with him before the summer of 2023. For both the player and Chelsea, it would be in their best interests to pursue separate paths.
At 23 years old, Conor Gallagher cannot afford to remain a mere squad player if he wishes to progress and flourish in his career.
Throughout the current Premier League season, Gallagher has started 18 matches and made 17 substitute appearances for Chelsea. In these games, he has contributed three goals and provided one assist.
It is intriguing to note that despite the positive remarks made about Gallagher in public, the Chelsea hierarchy does not appear overly impressed with his performances.
In fact, Chelsea’s interim manager, Frank Lampard, recently indicated that Gallagher is a significant part of the club’s future. Furthermore, during his loan spell at Crystal Palace last season, then-Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel praised Gallagher’s development, describing it as “extraordinary and outstanding.”
