Chelsea and Tottenham in bid to win signing £12.5M star within 48 Hours
According to La Nazione via Firenze Viola, Premier League heavyweights Tottenham Hotspur face a crucial 48 hours in their pursuit of Fiorentina and Serie A center-back Nikola Milenkovic.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Without Milenkovic’s transfer to England being mentioned, is it even still a transfer window? The Serbian international has taken his sweet time, but in the final few weeks of the summer, he has finally returned to the gossip columns.
Firenze Viola claims that Fali Ramadani, the agent for Milenkovic, is in communication with Chelsea and Tottenham in addition to their other London rivals.
Juventus, Atletico Madrid, and Inter Milan are also interested. One wonders if the Fiorentina fans would be able to take it if another brilliant player followed in the footsteps of Federico Bernardeschi, Federico Chiesa, and Roberto Baggio.
La Viola has not yet received any formal proposals for Milenkovic as things stand. Despite the fact that the former West Ham target is available for a steal of £12.5 million, a number of teams throughout Europe have expressed interest in signing him.
And according to La Nazione, Milenkovic will sign a new contract at the Estadio Artemio Franchi with a salary raise if no bids are received between now and Sunday. According to the article, his predicament would “clear up” during the following 48 hours.
“(Milenkovic) could easily play for teams like Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Juventus, Barcelona, or Real Madrid. Ivica Iliev, the former Partizan Belgrade director who worked with the 6’5” big back in Serbia, claims that Milenkovic is already prepared for these squads.
Milenkovic would be a decent purchase at £40 million given that he is a defender. He has tremendous potential.
The 24-year-old is known for being a steady presence at the back. Do not, however, minimize the contribution he may also make at the other end of the field. After all, only a few center defenders are as productive as Milenkovic. 14 goals over the past four seasons speak for themselves.
During the 2018 World Cup, Milenkovic said, “It is fantastic to be compared to the likes of (Manchester United icon Nemanja) Vidic.”
“Vidic was a fantastic player, but my career is only getting started. I must thus continue to put forth a lot of effort to climb that mountain.
