Many former Chelsea players don’t look to have any prospects and won’t be on the team’s matchday squad.
The hefty wages of some of these players, however, have been a serious issue since they have prevented interested teams from purchasing them without making huge price reductions.
On today’s episode of the London is Blue Podcast, the trustworthy Matt Law of The Telegraph said that Chelsea may be considering terminating the contracts of three players in particular because they are sick of waiting for them to find new clubs.
He said that Chelsea could easily void the contracts of players like Ross Barkley, Baba Rahman, and Kenedy.
This wouldn’t happen at Chelsea, but it does happen at American sports clubs, whose owners routinely do it to get rid of the deadwood. It will be interesting to observe what takes place if this occurs.
🚨 Chelsea might terminate contracts and just get rid of the likes of Kenedy, Baba Rahman and Ross Barkley.
