Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Although the midfielder, who is 18 years old, plays a significant role in the club’s minor squads, he hasn’t yet made his senior team debut.
One day before Chelsea hosts Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge, it’s interesting to see him participating with the senior group at Cobham.
Although the English kid has previously been spotted with the first-team squad, it’s encouraging to see that Graham Potter, the current manager, is still including him.
On Friday, he was seen working out with the Chelsea seniors with players Marc Cucurella and Hakim Ziyech (see image below).
We can only hope that Webster is one of Chelsea’s upcoming stars who can make his professional debut this year. Webster working out with the first squad.
There should be more confidence in the academy that they can force their way into the first squad now Harry Potter is in charge at Stamford Bridge. He has a strong track record of helping young players improve.
It must be fantastic news that he participated in training so close to a Premier League match, even though there is no indication he will be summoned into the main squad for a match day just yet.
Mateo Kovacic, he previously claimed, has greatly aided him at Cobham.
The opportunity for academy youngsters to regularly compete with Chelsea’s senior team’s talented midfielders will be fantastic.
