‘Brilliant’ i just want to leave the club: player is now pushing Chelsea to let him go as £26m bid set to be made
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Romelu Lukaku is exerting pressure on Chelsea to let him leave as he desires a return to Inter Milan. However, Inter Milan has yet to present an acceptable offer for the striker, and Chelsea is firm in its stance against further loan deals.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Lukaku is reportedly pushing for a move back to Inter Milan, and talks between the two clubs are expected to resume this week. Inter Milan is said to be prepared to offer €30 million (£26 million) for Lukaku, with the intention of another loan deal for the 2023/24 season and an obligation to buy the player in the summer of 2024.
The proposed offer from Inter Milan, with another loan deal involved, has been seen as insulting by some at Chelsea. The club had already set a price tag of £34 million for Lukaku, which is considered generous considering the £97.5 million they paid to acquire him in August 2021.
If Inter Milan does not meet Chelsea’s asking price, the club may choose to walk away from negotiations. Furthermore, Chelsea is said to prefer using loan spots for young talents rather than senior players, making another loan deal less appealing.
The situation between Lukaku, Chelsea, and Inter Milan is worth monitoring as discussions continue in the hopes of finding a resolution this week.
