Endrick, a Brazilian wonderkid, was sought after by a number of clubs, including Chelsea, but it appears that Real Madrid has already won the fight to recruit the Palmeiras midfielder.

Chelsea was one of several teams interested in signing the Brazilian wonderkid, who now appears likely to join the Spanish powerhouses, along with Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, and Barcelona.
Endrick cannot leave his present club Palmeiras until 2024, but the Champions League champions have agreed to pay his €60 million (£51 million) release clause, and he has now decided to join Madrid. The Blues had taken the child’s family to the Cobham training facility and used Brazilian legend Thiago Silva to persuade Endrick to invest.
The talented Brazilian is rumoured to have chosen to sign with Chelsea after that visit, but he changed his mind after meeting with Madrid. Endrick will emulate Neymar, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrygo, who all moved from Brazil to Spain and became prominent players in La Liga.
The Blues impressed Endrick and his family after they visited Cobham, but they felt like they were “more hesitant in committing to financial terms” because a significant portion of the deal was reportedly performance-related, according to The Athletic. Todd Boehly wanted to change the way Chelsea offered player contracts, with a fresh emphasis on performance-based incentives.
This has come up in Mason Mount’s contract talks because the England star wants a pay package that reflects how important he is to the club. It’s also thought that the club’s recruitment department adjustments made by their new American co-owner may have contributed to Endrick’s decision to pass on the Blues.
In preparation for Chelsea’s second transfer window under Boehly, there have been a lot of adjustments made at Stamford Bridge. After taking over Thomas Tuchel’s squad in September, just days after the summer transfer window closed during which the Blues spent nearly £300 million, Graham Potter will be aiming to bring in a number of new players.
To ensure Chelsea’s long-term success, Boehly is still eager to add great young players, but it appears they will pass on Endrick and must concentrate on other midfield targets. Before the summer transfer window opens the following year, the Blues are rumoured to be interested in both Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham.
