Andreas Christensen, a Chelsea defender, was unable to travel with his teammates for the game owing to sickness, and instead watched the game on TV.
Chelsea was the superior team and should have won the game, according to Christensen.
“We deserved to win,” Christensen remarked before Saturday’s match against Everton.
“I’m not sure if being at home vs being at the stadium gives you a different sensation, but I thought we put in a fantastic performance, created a lot of opportunities, and we should have won the game.”
“It was an excellent opportunity to widen the distance [to Arsenal], but we’re all extremely confident in what we’re doing.” We go into every game with the same goal in mind: to win, and right now it’s all about securing third place. Everyone here believes in it, so we’re just waiting to see what happens.”
