As Chelsea is about to overcome Barcelona for Jules Kounde, Cesar Azpilicueta’s future is in jeopardy. The Catalans have been interested in the Chelsea captain for months, but Thomas Tuchel has been reluctant to approve his sale.

It’s a difficult question since I’m not certain if I want to grant Azpi’s request. As recounted by the Evening Standard, Tuchel stated that eventually, everything comes down to what we want.
“I just compared how hard we fought for [Kalidou] Koulibaly, who is a member of the national squad and approximately the same age. He is a crucial member of the Napoli team, yet Chelsea’s captain is a Spanish international.
“I think of him as perhaps being on the same level as Barcelona, but not quite.” Because he is such a big player, I’m not sure if I want to give him what he wants. We don’t give other clubs much thought. The emphasis is on ourselves and our requirements. I told him that and now I’m telling you that I understand on a personal and professional level. But I’m not just playing this part to fulfill his demands. I want what is best for Chelsea because I am the manager of Chelsea.
He dislikes it yet he accepts it. He finds it difficult since the other club is always on him. He can play at his best on September 1 when things settle down.
Tuchel was then questioned if he had grown frustrated with Barcelona’s persistent efforts to sign his captain.
“Perhaps a little,” the German said.
To be honest, Barcelona has several reasons to irritate Chelsea. After the Blues and Leeds reached an agreement, the Catalans turned Raphinha’s mind. Additionally, they have unduly prolonged the Kounde race.
Now that Azpilicueta has verbally committed to a two-year contract with the La Liga team, Chelsea may have to deal with them.
