Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is said to want Antonio Rudiger and Eder Militao to be his first-choice center-back partnership following Rudiger’s free move from Chelsea.
David Alaba, who spent last season with Militao as a center-back, will move to left-back, where he has spent the bulk of his professional career.
Real Madrid are still willing to selling Mendy despite losing left-back Marcelo this summer. They allegedly need to cut their pay budget.
Since joining Real Madrid from Lyon, Mendy has made 105 appearances for the club, scoring five goals and assisting on nine occasions.
He appeared on 22 occasions in Real Madrid’s 2021-22 La Liga title-winning season, scoring two goals and assisting on two others.
Mendy’s Real contract is still three years old, having signed a six-year agreement with the Spanish club when he arrived from Lyon in July 2019.
Meanwhile, Eduardo Inda, Okdiario’s main commentator, has provided an update on Mendy’s Real Madrid future.
“Real Madrid wants to sell the player,” Inda remarked on El Chiringuito.
“The footballer has requested a raise in salary, which Madrid would not grant under any circumstances.” He is seeking €5.5 million in net revenue every season.
“Madrid has told him no, and he will have to search for work somewhere if he wants to earn that.” He has been urged to deliver a €50 million bid to Madrid.”
PSG and Juventus are also interested in signing the player.
