After Noni Madueke’s performance against Aston Villa Chelsea fans are all saying the same thing about him
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Chelsea once again faced a sluggish start, ending in a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa tonight.
Reflecting on Chelsea’s recent 5-0 defeat to Arsenal, Leandro Trossard swiftly put Mikel Arteta’s team in the lead within four minutes. This trend repeated itself at Villa Park, where Marc Cucurella unfortunately netted an own goal within the first five minutes.
The defensive frailties of Mauricio Pochettino’s side have become a concerning pattern, disappointing many Chelsea supporters.
Looking ahead, Chelsea braces for yet another challenging match against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday.
Regarding defensive performances, Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk, and the entire team displayed shortcomings in the 5-0 loss against Arsenal. However, amidst criticism, pundit Lucy Ward noted a positive action from Madueke and Mudryk just before Cucurella’s own goal. She observed their improved support for the full-backs, a positive shift from their previous match.
Despite defensive improvements, Mudryk struggled to make significant contributions in the first half offensively. While demonstrating glimpses of threat with his direct dribbling, his attempts on goal lacked accuracy. With only four Premier League goals this season, Mudryk’s performance falls short of expectations considering his hefty price tag.
Given his underwhelming form, it wouldn’t be surprising if Raheem Sterling replaces him when Chelsea faces Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.
