After discussions with Todd Boehly, Chelsea has been warn to avoid making the same mistake with Neymar’s transfer that they did with Aubameyang
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Neymar has been strongly connected with a summer transfer to the Premier League, but Chelsea has been advised against making a deal for the PSG star.
Neymar has been warned not to join Chelsea because there are concerns that he would emulate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Blues striker had a solid reputation to uphold when he moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Nonetheless, despite his best efforts, Aubameyang has struggled to live up to expectations and has fallen out of favor with Graham Potter. Even the former captain of Arsenal was left off the Champions League roster by the Chelsea manager to make room for Mykhailo Mudryk, Enzo Fernandez, and Joao Felix.
As a result, Aubameyang’s future at the club is becoming more and more questionable because Potter isn’t showing any signs of including him in his plan again. Stan Collymore asserted that if Neymar were to sign with the Blues, he might follow the same path as the Gabon international in an interview with CaughtOffside.
The former Liverpool striker claimed that neither Manchester team should sign him, and Chelsea most certainly doesn’t require him. The Blues’ project is to build for the future, and if Neymar were to move to Stamford Bridge, you can only imagine how much of Graham Potter’s time in front of the media would be taken up by questions about the Brazilian. “I think Neymar is a fantastic player, but joining Chelsea would be an awful move in my opinion.
“That would be the last opportunity he’d have, but it would also be the last thing any of the other players would require. Also, Neymar’s actions occasionally remind me of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and we all know how that one turned out, so Chelsea should simply stay away.
Le Parisien reports that on Tuesday, Todd Boehly began discussions with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of Paris Saint-Germain, about the future of the Brazilian international. According to the article, the American billionaire looked into the terms of a potential transfer that might send Neymar to Stamford Bridge.
The opening leg of the Champions League round of 16 matchups between the French team and Bayern Munich took place on Tuesday night at Les Parc des Princes. Kingsley Coman’s strike early in the second half gave the Bundesliga champions a 1-0 victory. It was the deciding goal between the two teams.
Neymar has already acknowledged that he doesn’t watch much of the Premier League but has heard there is a “lot of physical contact involved” amid rumors of a transfer to the English top flight.
However, the Brazilian star has already expressed his unhappiness with the roughness in Ligue 1, which is concerning for Chelsea supporters hoping for a trade. Neymar remarked, “I don’t get to see much of the Premier League, but I’ve heard that there’s a lot of physical contacts involved in the game,” in an interview with The Daily Mail. But, there is also too much physical contact in the French league.
