According to Fabrizio Romano, midfielder Denis Zakaria has been excluded from the Juventus first-team squad for the upcoming season. Romano shared this information on Twitter, stating that the 26-year-old Swiss player is one of four individuals who have been left out of the squad, just weeks after his departure from Chelsea.
Zakaria joined Chelsea on deadline day last season as the club sought reinforcements during the chaotic summer transfer window. While he initially struggled to make his debut, he eventually started to receive more playing time and even scored a goal in the final group stage match of the Champions League. However, his progress was hampered by an injury earlier this year, leading Chelsea to decide against signing him on a permanent deal despite his relatively low release clause.
Now, Romano reports that Zakaria is likely to be on the move again, as Juventus has decided to exclude him from their first-team squad for the upcoming season. Romano also mentioned that Leonardo Bonucci, Weston McKennie, and Arthur Melo are among the players who have been left out and are now available on the market.
Meanwhile, Joao Felix, who was on loan, is also facing a similar fate, as his loan move was not extended and he has been absent from first-team training at Atletico Madrid.
