On Friday, the team posted a statement on its official website stating that Timo Werner had stayed at Cobham with the medical division.
Romano asserts that Chelsea has now agreed to permit the German international to depart on a loan basis while he is away.
The Italian transfer analyst said on Twitter that “it might potentially include a buy option.”
He is on the lists of both Juventus and RB Leipzig, but nothing is nearly done.
As of right now, “Newcastle [United] have not initiated direct discussions to sign Timo.”
Werner only served as a rotation player for Chelsea last season as he has fallen down Chelsea’s attacking pecking order in the past year.
Thomas Tuchel was also not persuaded by his four goals and one assist in 21 Premier League outings last season.
Raheem Sterling’s arrival gives Chelsea another adaptable offensive option that can play centrally.
Despite rumours in Germany, Tuchel recently claimed that Werner, who cost Chelsea £45 million in 2020, has not wanted to leave the club personally. However, this may alter if Werner’s expected restricted position for the forthcoming season is more apparent.
