Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has often stated that, despite the fact that some targets have already been identified, the sanctions prevent Chelsea from moving further.
According to reports, Sevilla defender Jules Kounde will be the first signing of Todd Boehly’s tenure.
Last season, Kounde and Chelsea established a deal, and rumors indicate that it has already smoothed the way for Chelsea to sign the 23-year-old this summer.
Chelsea is eager to make the move happen since he is considered a replacement for the outgoing Antonio Rudiger. It is thought that the La Liga club is asking for a sum in the area of £59 million.
Chelsea is closing in on the Frenchman, according to Andreas Korssund of The Sun.
“Jules Kounde is close in on a transfer to Chelsea,” Korssung tweeted.
“As soon as (Todd) Boehly’s takeover is completed and they are ready to pay the requisite sum, the Blues will finalize discussions with Sevilla.”
“Personal conditions have already been agreed upon, and all the Frenchman needs now is Chelsea.”
