Antonio Rudiger, the outgoing Chelsea defender, has spoken up more about the scenario that led to his departure.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Apart from the difficulties he had under previous manager Frank Lampard, Rudiger has disclosed how the club left him hanging for months before imposing punishment.
According to the German international, he has not heard from the club in up to five months, despite the fact that clubs such as Real Madrid have previously approached him.
Rudiger says that he made his choice to quit Chelsea before the fines were announced, and he has refused to criticize the club.
Rudiger stated in the Players’ Tribune, “Unfortunately, my contract discussions had already started to get tricky last fall.”
“Business is business, but the scenario becomes tricky when you don’t hear from the club from August to January.”
“There was a long period of nothing after the initial offer. You know, we’re not robots. With so much uncertainty about your future, you can’t wait months.
“Obviously, no one anticipated the sanctions coming, but other large teams expressed interest, and I had to make a decision.” I’ll end it there since, aside from business, I have nothing negative to say about this club.”
According to Rudiger, Marina Granovskaia and her team mishandled his contract situation.
We wish the German the best of luck with Real Madrid.
