“You needs to grow up you are in charge, Too many mistake like this” – Poch warn 22-year-old Chelsea player
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has issued a stern warning to Nicolas Jackson and the entire team, emphasizing the need for maturity.
Nicolas Jackson received his fifth yellow card of the season during Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to Aston Villa, prompting Pochettino’s concern over the recurring disciplinary issues within the team. In his post-match interview with football.london and other English media outlets, the Argentine coach stressed the importance of collective growth, particularly for young players like Jackson, who are still acclimatizing to the demands of the Premier League.
Pochettino acknowledged the team’s desire to compete and win, but he emphasized that players, especially the young ones, need time to learn, gain experience, and learn from their mistakes. He expressed disappointment with the number of recurring disciplinary incidents and highlighted the urgency to rectify this situation promptly.
Malo Gusto’s recent red card further exacerbated Pochettino’s frustrations. The French right-back, now facing suspension, found himself sent off at an inopportune time, particularly with Reece James still recovering from an injury.
While Pochettino recognizes Jackson’s disciplinary issues, he also acknowledges that Chelsea faces more significant challenges, particularly the struggles in scoring goals. The 22-year-old striker’s disciplinary concerns, although avoidable and concerning, are overshadowed by the team’s broader difficulties in finding the back of the net. With just one goal in six Premier League games for Jackson and five goals in six games for the team overall, Pochettino emphasized the need to concentrate on rectifying these scoring struggles to achieve success in the ongoing campaign.
