Unbelievably Chelsea 25-man Names For The Premier League As Release Shocking Squad
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has named his 25-man Premier League squad for the season, and there are some notable inclusions and omissions.
According to Premier League rules, teams are limited to registering a maximum of 17 foreign players, with the remaining eight spots reserved for homegrown players.
Among the new summer signings included in the squad are Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, Robert Sanchez, Djordje Petrovic, Axel Disasi, Lesley Ugochukwu, Cole Palmer, Christopher Nkunku, and Nicolas Jackson.
However, Malang Sarr, who had been on loan last season, did not make the cut for Pochettino’s squad.
During a post-match press conference after a win over Luton Town, a reporter questioned Pochettino about the whereabouts of Malang Sarr and enquired about Jamie Cummings, who played in a preseason game against Wrexham.
Pochettino appeared to be surprised by the question and responded, “Oh my goodness,” indicating he was not aware of their situations.
Malang Sarr, 24, is a former French U21 international who joined Chelsea from Nice in 2020. He spent the previous season on loan at Monaco and made only six Premier League appearances in his first season with Chelsea.
Surprisingly, 24-year-old goalkeeper Jamie Cummings made the squad. Cummings is a product of Chelsea’s academy and had loan spells at Stevenage and Gillingham before experiencing relegation with MK Dons in League One last season.
It remains to be seen how these squad selections will impact the players’ roles and futures at Chelsea as the season progresses
