“Hey God, I ain’t gonna lie man, I’m tired” – £50M Chelsea player reacts on squad
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah has responded to reports suggesting that he is no longer in the plans of new manager Mauricio Pochettino with a cryptic message on his Instagram account.
Chalobah, who is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury and is expected to return in late September, came through Chelsea’s academy and made a breakthrough into the first team under former manager Thomas Tuchel. However, the signing of Axel Disasi from Monaco, the emergence of Levi Colwill, the previous signing of Badiashile, and the injury to Wesley Fofana have pushed Chalobah down the pecking order.
It has been reported that Chelsea made Chalobah available for sale, but his initial asking price of £50 million was considered too high for potential suitors. Bayern Munich, managed by Thomas Tuchel, who gave Chalobah his Chelsea debut in 2021, was reportedly interested in signing the defender on loan, but the move did not materialize.
Chalobah’s cryptic message on Instagram suggests that he is determined to continue his football journey despite the challenges he may face. His future at Chelsea remains uncertain, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops as the season progresses.
Chalobah has now posted a video on his Instagram story, with a caption which reads: “Hey God, I ain’t gonna lie man, I’m tired. But I can’t give up right now. So whatever you want me to go through, let’s do it. I came too far so I can’t quit.”
