“So Far This Three Chelsea Players Have Impressed Me” – Lesley Ugochukwu names the three Chelsea players who’ve really impressed in
Lesley Ugochukwu, a 19-year-old midfielder who recently joined Chelsea from Rennes, has spoken highly of three of his Chelsea teammates who have left a strong impression on him since his arrival at Stamford Bridge.
Despite his young age, Ugochukwu has quickly integrated into Chelsea’s first-team squad and is vying for a starting position in a midfield department that boasts considerable depth.
He has specifically praised three Chelsea midfielders: Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, and Romeo Lavia, all of whom he has had the opportunity to work with closely during training over the past few weeks.
“Personally, I have never been afraid of competition. I learn with very good players like Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, or Romeo Lavia, who is the same age as me. It’s up to me to earn and seize the most minutes,” Ugochukwu told Le Parisien.
Ugochukwu’s inclusion in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad at the start of the season has been somewhat surprising, but he appears to bring a valuable skill set to the team.
As a young defensive midfielder with exceptional physicality and athleticism, he seems well-suited to the English game. While he may not be at the top of the midfield pecking order when all players are fit and available, there could still be opportunities for him to demonstrate his abilities and make an impact.
However, it’s worth noting that Romeo Lavia, one of the midfielders Ugochukwu mentioned, has yet to make his official debut for the club. Unfortunately, there are concerns, as reported by The Evening Standard, that Lavia may face an extended period on the sidelines due to a recent injury sustained during training.
