Hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Santos commenced his professional journey with Vasco da Gama and made his debut at a remarkably young age of 16 in March 2021.
During his tenure with Vasco, Santos played a pivotal role in their promotion to Brazil’s top-flight league in 2022, impressively notching up eight goals in 33 matches.
On the international front, Santos not only captained Brazil’s U20 team but also led them to victory in the South American Championship, where he was the joint-top goalscorer.
His remarkable performances didn’t go unnoticed, earning him a call-up to Brazil’s senior team, where he made a memorable full international debut against Morocco.
Earlier this year, after his move to Chelsea, Santos returned to Vasco for the remainder of the 2022/23 season, gaining valuable experience. Subsequently, he featured prominently in Chelsea’s pre-season matches under the guidance of manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Speaking about his move to Nottingham Forest, Santos expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I am very happy and excited to be here. Forest is a big club with a rich history. I’m looking forward to the experience.”
