‘Chelsea want him to leave’ Mauricio Pochettino has not spoken with £34m player – journalist
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, there has been no contact between Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku and newly-appointed head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Romelu Lukaku has been at the center of intense transfer speculation in recent days, with Inter Milan now withdrawing their bid to re-sign him. The Serie A club is reportedly furious about Lukaku’s ongoing talks with Juventus.
Romano provided an update on Lukaku’s future on Twitter, stating that Juventus and teams from Saudi Arabia are still in the race to sign the £34 million-rated striker. However, there has been no conversation between Lukaku and Pochettino.
Chelsea has decided not to include Lukaku in their pre-season tour, keeping him away from the main group. The club is keen for him to leave, and they are looking for a club willing to pay €40 million for his services.
In our opinion, it is in Chelsea’s best interest to resolve the Lukaku situation and sell him. Keeping him away from the pre-season tour allows the team to focus without distractions. While it is surprising that there has been no conversation between Pochettino and Lukaku, it has seemed unlikely that Lukaku has a future at Stamford Bridge.
