The Evening Standard states that the striker is keen to maintain a strong relationship with his current club, Tottenham, even if he leaves on a free transfer next year.
Speculation has surrounded Kane’s future, with rumors suggesting he may be open to a move away from North London. Chelsea has been mentioned as one of the potential destinations, especially after hiring their new manager, Mauricio Pochettino, who previously coached Kane at Tottenham and brought out his best performances in the Premier League.
However, it is now claimed that Kane is unwilling to tarnish his legacy by switching to a rival club. If he does move this summer, it is expected that Bayern Munich could be a possible destination, where he would reunite with former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel. Kane is reportedly keen to challenge for the Champions League title with the German side, although no agreement has been reached between the two clubs.
Despite missing out on Kane, Chelsea has already made signings in Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku and is still considering further additions to their attacking options this summer.
