‘We don’t want to risk the deal’ Chelsea received £26m bid for their ‘incredible’ player
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Inter Milan have submitted a fresh bid for Chelsea player Romelu Lukaku. That is according to last night’s report from Gianluca Di Marzio. It is explained that Chelsea recently turned down Inter’s opening offer worth €25million (£21million) for Romelu Lukaku. Now, the Serie A giants have launched a second attempt as they try to re-sign the 30-year-old Blues striker. Chelsea have now received a €30million (£26million) offer for Lukaku from the Italians. In our view, Chelsea should be able to squeeze more money out of this deal. However, we don’t want to risk Inter walking away from a deal this summer. The Telegraph has previously claimed that Lukaku is ‘determined’ to seal a return to Inter Milan in this transfer window. He’s scored 78 goals in 132 appearances in total for them across two spells, which included a season-long loan last year.Described as “incredible” by Ashley Young a couple of years ago (BT Sport), Lukaku really needs this move away from Chelsea in this transfer window. It’s absolutely essential for the Belgian forward, who we can’t see turning things around at Stamford Bridge. Corriere dello Sport reported this week that French side Paris Saint-Germain have joined Inter and Juventus in the summer race to sign Lukaku. It definitely sounds like Simone Inzaghi’s Inter are doing all the chasing, though. Let’s hope all parties can quickly resolve this transfer to avoid it hanging over Chelsea all summer.
