According to rumors, the Hammers are planning to keep Declan Rice by handing him an eight-year contract for £200,000 per week.
The Hammers are in talks with Rice, who has turned away three offers from his current club, according to talkSPORT. This is the 23-year-latest old’s attempt to persuade him to sign a contract.
Rice’s current deal has two years left on it, with an option to extend for another year, although West Ham are aware that other clubs, including as Chelsea and Manchester United, are interested in signing him this summer.
Rice’s manager, David Moyes, is certain that he would not sell him during the transfer window, even placing a £150 million price tag on him, but the club is anxious after the England international rejected down previous offers.
Rice’s contract may be extended to 10 years if he wants it, but his management reckons he could make £300-400,000 per week at a better club, according to TalkSPORT.
No other team is willing to match West Ham’s £150 million asking price for Rice, therefore now is the best moment to sign him to a long-term agreement.
Rice was the main player for West Ham this season, as they advanced to the Europa League semi-finals before falling to Eintracht Frankfurt.
